I am officially employed!!!

Well, I started my job today at the American Leadership Academy. It's a charter school. I'm a teacher assistant in the 1st and 6th grades. I'm only working 15 hours a week, but it's something. I worked here 2 years ago when the school opened, but the principal was horrible and there was one lady who thought that she ruled the school. There is a new principal now and he is really cool. I'm not scared of him. :)

My cousin Rachel got married on Thursday. The reception was so pretty. And she looked gorgeous!!!

I've also been continuing my allergy shots treatment. Yay... 2 shots twice a week until December, then 2 shots every other week until spring and then 2 shots once a week until fall. Then is continues like that for 3-4 years.

I saw "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" with my sister this last weekend. So good. I also watched "High School Musical 2." Yes, I know, kinda cheesy. :)

Also 7 days until JOSH GROBAN!!!!!

Shots

K- so I started my allergy shots yesterday. I was under the impression that it was just going to be one shot 2 times a week. Well, since I am allergic to EVERYTHING outside, I have to have 2 shots 2 times a week. Not fun. They don't really hurt, but they swell up and itch like a mosquito bite. Maybe I should put some windex on it... Remember the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding?" LOL. I go in again on Thursday. Fun fun.
Went and saw "I now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry." FUNNY!!! I laughed so hard! Go see it!!

Vacation!!

Well, we just got back from our week long adventure in Washington and in Yellowstone. It was a lot of fun. I got to see family that I haven't seen in about 15 years and also got to explore Spokane a little bit more.

We went to a park called Manito Park. There are lots of gardens in the park. So pretty. In one particular park- Duncan Gardens- (it's an English style) there is a fountain right in the middle. Well, when we were little- my sister and I- Vanessa was playing and she fell into this particular fountain. My mom says that she saved her life, but the water was like 2 feet deep. She could have easily stood up. Anyways, we went to that fountain and I made fun of her. LOL. There was a Japanese garden, a rose garden, a lilac garden, and a duck pond. There were more things, but we didn't have a whole lot of time.

We also went to Riverside State Park. That was alright. There was this bridge that was an old wooden suspention bridge. I'm so terrified of bridges that I didn't go across it. I just watched Seth and Porter have their fun.

We went to the river and then to a park that is on the river. That was cool.

It was so weird seeing my family again. There were 2 new cousins that I hadn't met so that made it even more special.

My dad is buried in the Holy Cross Cemetary there and my mom is supposed to be. (Long story.) So we went to his grave and put flowers down. That meant a lot to me.

Then on the way back we decided to go to Yellowstone cuz it wasn't too far out of the way and I had never been there. So incredibly cool!! I came face to face with a coyote. That was terrifying. But I was talking to my aunt and she said that the natives believe that if you come across a coyote and it doesn't hurt you that it is a sign that good things will happen in the near future. So that was cool. (I'm part Chippewa.) And we saw lots of buffalo and elk. Porter ran around a lot in the meadows.

All in all, it was a very good trip. To see pics from Yellowstone click on this link. http://picasaweb.google.com/tinlizzie85/YellowstoneAug2007
